sophie is at her sister and brother-in-law's in santa barbara for the week; the baby is finally here--milla claudine. i can't wait to squeeze her. sophie keeps saying she's too small to squeeze--she doesn't get it--anything adorable can be squeezed both figuratively and literally.

i wake up every day at 6 a.m. and walk on the beach; it is an incredible work-out. note: days it takes to become very friendly with people working out on beach at the same time as you—5. focus of exercise: sophie—“isn’t it beautiful? look at the waves . . .” kristen—“am i thinner yet?”

work is fine. we now have delicious vegan food delivered every day—warm and quintessentially healthy. perfect.

i’ve started a writing project—seriously. i mean i’ve seriously started it and i’m extremely focused—it’s really happening. it’s exciting—also frustrating—want to quit work just to research and write—would be far more fulfilling . . . until i decided i wanted another pair of jimmy choo’s . . . alas . . .
