the purging of extra thought

when i was in graduate school i noticed that listening to music motivated me a differenct direction . . . in fact i think it was a lab joke--my music was so loud that evidently you could hear it through my headphones as if i wasn't wearing headphones at all--i'm not really sure to what extent this was a joke . . . but i do remember some computer pranks . . . which went right over my head or through my ears as the case may be . . .

i have so much work to do . . . i have five writing projects this week . . . but get this--i wear a ski hat all day . . . it's cozy and warm--and, quite frankly, i think it looks groovy . . . i am adopting an 'i am a writer who works from my home' outfit . . . it really is a fashion statement must . . .
